Cantabilé is a friendly and lively choir which has been running now for over 10 years.

We consist of around 40 mixed voices, and sing mainly sacred choral works, usually accompanied by an orchestra.

Our Musical Director is Jean Holt

We rehearse once a week on a Thursday evening at 7.30pm, and perform to large audiences 2-3 times a year, usually in St Luke's Church, Parkstone, where we currently practice.

Our first 2 concerts for this year were the usual lovely mix of sacred choral music and lighter pieces.  Our first concert on 9th April was John Rutter's wonderful Requiem and Vivaldi's Magnificat.  Then our summer concert on 9th July was a fun mix including Bob Chilcott's 'Five Days that Changed the World', a variety of pieces from the likes of Karl Jenkins, Will Todd, Howard Goodall, Mozart and a superb piano treat from our Musical Director and her husband, with Richard Holt playing his own arrangement from West Side Story and he and Jean giving us a thrilling duet.

If you came along to any of the concerts, we do hope you enjoyed the evening.  Our last concert for 2017 will be in December - details later, but we do hope you will be able to come along.
