CANTABILÉ CHOIR
Cantabilé is a friendly and lively choir which has been running now for about 6 years.
We consist of around 40 mixed voices, and sing mainly sacred choral works, usually accompanied by an orchestra.
We rehearse once a fortnight on a Thursday evening at 7.30pm, and perform to large audiences 2-3 times a year, usually in St Luke's Church, Parkstone, where we currently practice.
We had 2 concerts in 2012, the first in April was the Messa di Gloria by Puccini accompanied by a full orchestra, together with the Serenade to Music by Vaughan Williams and we had our second concert in July which was a summer mix of pieces from Verdi to Les Misérables.
Our first concert for 2013 was the wonderful piece by Karl Jenkins The Armed Man on 26th January. The church was full and we have had nothing but praise from those who came.
Our Musical Director is Jean Holt
